Field Production
Our Field production experience has seen NYN travel around the state and the world to capture the best images for our clients. Our field crews have traveled to the former Soviet Union, Hungary, Sweden, England and throughout New York State.
We’ve shot countless Public Service announcements, documentaries, instructional videos and television programs. Our experience and expertise in the field makes your productions smooth from concept through final edit and delivery. We are able to work through each step of the process to create a product that exceeds expectations without exceeding the budget.
We currently shoot using several different format broadcast field cameras.
- The flagship is our SONY XDCam PDW-F350 camera/recorder. The XDCam records to optical disc allows us to shoot a range of format options from 1080i Hi-Definition to 4:3 and 16:9 Standard definition.
- 2 SONY DVW 790WS Digi-Beta cameras shoot in Standard definition (4:3 or 16:9) and capture broadcast quality images and digital sound.
- SONY DSR-400 DVCAM (2) camera/recorders are the go to camera for excellent quality on a budget. The 3 hour record capacity of DVCAM tapes make this and excellent choice for long continuous shooting.
Along with top quality cameras NYN has supporting equipment for almost every field issue.
- Audio- We own several different varieties of microphones to capture sound for every type of production. Wired and wireless lavalier mics, shotgun microphones. We can capture audio from one person or a musical ensemble.
- Lighting- We’ve been adding to our field lighting packages

- Kino flo field lights with daylight/tungsten bulbs options.
- HMI daylight balanced lighting fixtures
- Camera mounts- Our camera rental package comes standard with a tripod. We have access to various dollys, jib packages or other appropriate camera mount systems.
