Web Casting Solutions for State Agencies

The New York Network (NYN) celebrates its 40th year of continuous operation this October.  Providing (4) decades of service has meant continually moving with the flow of new technologies, and then finding creative ways to use it in providing cost-effective solutions to our client-base.

So, it should come as no surprise that we’ve now added turn-key web casting to our comprehensive telecommunications services.

If you have a meeting that needs to be web cast under EO3, it can be convened in our comfortable studio in the South Concourse of the Empire State Plaza in Albany NY. Your web cast will feature full coverage of the meeting, including close ups of speakers, along with assistance in preparing clear, readable graphics. Clients can choose from a menu of web casting options (archive services, DVD copies of meetings, live captioning etc.) that meets their particular need.

Captioning services for the hearing impaired are available regardless of the video file format (Real Video, WMV, QuickTime). This service is provided as per WWW3 web accessibility standards, for an additional cost.

And if you’re looking for a larger space, you’ll be happy to hear that NYN and OGS are partnering up to make cost effective web casting available in The Empire State Plaza’s all purpose meeting rooms. For more information on this EO3 option, check out the OGS website at
www.ogs.state.ny.us/purchase/webcasting.asp

Of course, some organizations will need to stream their meetings outside the confines of the Plaza.  And if that’s the case, we’d be happy to bring our service to you.  All you need is a broadband internet connection, and we’ll take it from there!

In addition, you can find a wealth of information on web casting by visiting the Office of Technology’s website at http://www.oft.state.ny.us/policy/s07-001/index.htm .  The site includes best practices guidelines, technology standards, and web casting templates.

Web casting is part of New York’s future.  And The New York Network is ready to take you there.
